Nina Gravrok

Nina Gravrok has just completed her first season as a soloist with the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. Last autumn she starred as Eurydice in Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice and Antonia in The Tales of Hoffmann. This spring she has had success in her interpretations of Musetta in La bohème and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.

Originally from Narvik, since 2005 she has sung on opera stages big and small around Norway, performing roles such as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, the title role of Madama Butterfly and Suor Angelica, Giorgetta in Il Tabarro and Madame Lidoine in Dialogues of the Carmelites.  

She was acclaimed for her Musetta in La Bohème, which she reprised here at the Oslo Opera House. Gravrok's international debut came in 2008 when she sang the role as Pamina in The Magic Flute in Cologne and Essen. The following year she sang her first role with the Norwegian National Opera as First Wood Sprite in Rusalka. In spring 2014 she makes her debut in the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni. 

Nina Gravrok has won several awards and accolades in major competitions, including third place in the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in 2007. She is also a sought-after concert singer, and has sung with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and other major Norwegian orchestras.
