Stevica Krajinovic

Stevica Krajinovic has been with the Norwegian National Opera Chorus since 2006. He studied at the Music Academy in Belgrade, Serbia and in Montenegro with the focus on solo singing. During his studies he performed at the Opera Studio of the National Theatre in Belgrade, where he sang roles such as Belcore in The Elixir of Loveand Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus. He came to Norway after receiving a stipend for best student from the music faculty in Belgrade, and took the Master's programme in solo singing in Kristiansand in 2004. He has been engaged as a soloist with the Belgrade Radio Symphony Orchestra and has performed the role of Morales in Carmenwith the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad (Serbia and Montenegro) in 2003. He has performed the role of Marquis D´Obigny in La Traviata with Opera Island directed by Jonathan Miller and conducted by Marc Soustrot and Terje Boye Hansen, and in 2005 alternating the title role in Don Giovanni also directed by Miller. In 2005 he sang the solo part for baritone in Carmina Burana with the Rome Symphony Orchestra at the Piazza di Campidoglio under the direction of Silvio Barbato.
