Charlotte Steckmest
Charlotte Steckmest joined the Norwegian National Ballet in autumn 2024, after three years in the Norwegian National Ballet 2 (NNB2). During her time at NNB UNG, she has danced in works such as Balanchine's Allegro Brillante, León and Lightfoot's Step Lightly and Susto, and Hayakawa's Limerence.
She graduated from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts with a bachelor's degree in classical ballet. After completing her education, she was sponsored by Thorleif Dahl's ballet fund and Norsk Tipping, which gave her the opportunity to train with NNB2 and have Maiko Nishino as a mentor.
Steckmest (born in 2002) is from Oslo and took her first dance steps at Jorunn Kirkenær's ballet school when she was three years old. She became a student at the Ballet school at The Norwegian National Ballet in 2009 and went there for nine years, before moving on to the Academy of Arts.
