Petter Moen
The young Norwegian tenor Petter Moen was born in 1988. He studied at The National College of Operatic Art in Oslo and he currently studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Opera in Copenhagen with Susanna Eken.
During his studies he has sung roles such as Nemorino in Donizetti's L'ELISIR D'AMORE, Belfiore in Mozart's LA FINTA GIARDINIERA and Alfred in J. Strauss' DIE FLEDERMAUS.
He has quickly made a name for himself as a concert singer and has made numerous appearances with orchestras and ensembles in Norway and Denmark.
Engagements in 2013 have so far included Mosquito in Leoš Janáček's THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN at the Royal Danish Opera, Kurt Weill's DIE SIEBEN TODSÜNDEN with the Copenhagen Phil and the conductor Lawrence Foster, Handel's MESSIAH in Gladsaxe, Bach's MAGNIFICAT and EASTER-ORATORIO in Tromsoe with the conductor Herbert Böck, Bach's ST JOHN PASSION in Copenhagen with the conductor Per Enevold, and Bach's CHRISTMAS ORATORIO in Drammen.
Current and upcoming highlights include various opera arias in Hamburg with the NDR Sinfonieorchester and the conductor Vassilis Christopoulos, cantatas by Bach in Trondheim with the conductor Terje Kvam, Bach's CHRISTMAS ORATORIO in Oslo and Sarpsborg with the conductor Christopher Bucknall.
