Eduardo Aladrén

Spanish tenor Eduardo Aladrén began studying voice at the Music Conservatory of Zaragoza. From 2000-2003 Mr. Aladrén continued his vocal studies at the “Escuela Superior de Canto” in Madrid and holds a Performance Diploma in Voice from the Jacob’s School of Music of the Indiana University in Bloomington.

The following years Aladrén performed throughout Spain several leading Zarzuela roles with the Lyric Theater of Zaragoza and other companies in Madrid. His debut at the renowned Teatro de la Zarzuela of Madrid took place in 2001 with the zarzuela “Pan y Toros” (Barbieri), under the baton of Maestro Josep Pons.

In 2005-07 Eduardo Aladren sang as a Resident Artist with the Palm Beach Opera where he performed more than 10 principal roles on the main stage including Aida, Tosca, The Magic Flute, Pagliacci, Madama Butterfly, as well as the title role in Werther and as Nicias in Thaïs within the Palm Beach Opera’s “Opera in One Hour” series. He also made his debut in the Miami Dade-County Auditorium where he sang Danilo in Lehár’s The Merry Widow and returned there as Rene in Der Graf von Luxemburg in 2008.

Highlights of the 2008/09 season include La Fanciulla del West at Saint Bart’s Festival in the French West Caribbian Islands, the Soloist Tenor in Gustav Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde with the Bellas Artes Theater Symphony Orchestra in Mexico as well as Beethoven’s C major Mass and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria with the Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra. He also performed Alfredo in La Traviata in Zaragoza and in an opera concert series tour with the prestigious Symphony of the Americas.

During the following years, he pursued a very busy career in Germany, which he later made his home: Cavaradossi in Bremen and Heidelberg, Don José in Potsdam and the summer festival Musik und Theater Saar, Luigi in Puccini’s Il Tabarro in Bayreuth, Alvaro in Verdi’s La Forza del Destino to the Schwerin Schlossfestspiele, Pinkerton in Aachen and Schwerin, and Alfredo in Bremerhaven. In addition, he was also heard in the title role of Andrea Chenier at the National theatre Szeged (Hungary), as Don Carlo in Madrid and as Werther at the New National theatre in Tokyo.

During the 2016/17 season Eduardo Aladrén made several important debuts: at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the role of Pinkerton, his Italian debut at the Luglio Musicale Trapanese as Radames and his Russian debut as Cavaradossi at the Novaya Opera Theatre in Moscow.

His moste recent engagements include Pinkerton, Cavaradossi and Don Carlo at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Pinkerton at the Latvian National Opera in Riga and the Teatro Principal of Palma de Mallorca. Aladrén also made his debut as the soloist tenor in Verdi’s Requiem at the Opera theater in Halle and Bonn, and sang Don Carlo at the St. Gallen Opera House.

A member of the ensemble of Deutsche Oper am Rhein from the 2019/20 season, he is especially looking forward to his role debut there as Rodolfo as well as to his role debut as Calaf at the Festival Pucciniano de Torre del Lago and the Latvian National Opera in Riga.
